The examination of lameness is primarily based on a detailed clinical examination of the horse, including examination under saddle during movement. Very often, the next diagnostic procedure is diagnostic anesthesia, which allows for the localization of pain and pathological changes. X-rays and ultrasound are frequently used tools. In the treatment of lameness, we use targeted injections, including injections under ultrasound guidance, regenerative medicine procedures such as PRP and IRAP, as well as physiotherapy in the form of shockwave therapy.
